My April vacation plans didn't work out - but I was still desperately longing a break from work - so I decided to take a staycation! It was a very restful week, but I also managed to play tourist in my own town.
Some fun activities included:
- Pedicure at Juko Salon
- Pasta Workshop at The Chopping Block
- Meeting up with Beth for coffee (she was back for a week from Milan)
- Million Dollar Quartet at The Apollo Theatre
- A day at The Art Institute of Chicago
And some more mundane, but restful activities such as:
- Naps with the Otis
- Catching up on my reading
- Catching up on my DVR
- And renting a ton of chick flicks from Red Box.
And the great thing was that I went back to work refreshed (which, of course, lasted about a day), but it was a nice change from past vacations where I've felt like I needed a vacation from my vacation. :)
