Thirty Tastes Great! (alternate title: He Gave Me a Scooter Ride)

My original plans to go sky-diving didn't work out (I'm still totally planning on jumping out of a plane - just later this summer) - so I made alternate plans for my special day.

I started out my morning by heading to the Green City Market in Lincoln Park. I was waiting for the bus at Armitage & Humboldt when some dude on a scooter pulled up and said "Hey, where you going?" I had my head down looking at my phone and had my earbuds in, so didn't quite hear it. At first, I thought that some jerk was just trying to hit on me - and I wasn't in the mood for it. But, when I looked up, I realized it was my neighbor, Claudio. I told him that I was going to the farmers market and then he asked if I'd like a ride. So, I hopped on the back of his scooter - kind of wish that I didn't choose to wear a sundress that day, but oh well!

What made the scooter ride even more hilarious was that as we were nearing Lincoln Park, we saw one of our other neighbors on the sidewalk - Claudio and I went back and forth over whether it was actually our neighbor - so I called out "Hey Nate". Turned out it was him - he did a bit of a double take until he realized who it was and then said "Are you kidding me?" Turns out he was just heading home after a night of debauchery. Guess he didn't expect to see me on the back of my gay neighbor's scooter outside of our neighborhood. :)

Finally got to the farmer's market and had a wonderful time. I munched on a breakfast of apple cider donuts, raspberries and a raspberry/blueberry/mint smoothie while I watched the chef demo. Everything looked so good, so I had a hard time choosing what to bring home with me - ended up choosing some fresh tomatoes, zucchini, summer squash, swiss chard and fresh flowers.
